Earth Hour 2011…
went and past.
What did you and your kids do? We had our blackout gathering, mini campfire and marshmallow roasting with fellow home schoolers over. Over the years our kids appreciated that fact that we should not stress mother nature too much and start to make changes in our lives and learning.

To us, home education is not just about the academic or emotional aspect, there must be a social-engagement aspect to it. We feel that our children need to be appreciative of the fact that we are not alone and mutual respect for the environment is a must (a part of the curriculum if you like to put it).
So what’s the positive change you are committing to Mother Earth? We are committing ourselves to:
- Cutting out meat from our diet (either full-time or most of the time) Some readings here
- Cutting down energy consumption (sweat a little more for our health & our environment!)
- Growing more plants & vegetables (start with one plant, then 2….)
- Growing older in health, wisdom & compassion:)
